Here We Go....

Well...here it is Thursday already!  My intentions were to start blogging faithfully, beginning on Monday...but that didn't happen.  Monday was Day.1. -  This particular Monday...was the first day of "New Beginnings" for me!! The day didn't begin as bright and early as I wanted it to...but I was up before 11am...so that was a start!!  Ha!  I am really looking forward to all the changes I need to make...and there are LOTS!! Actually...almost everything in my life needs to change!! It's going to be a blast...and I can't wait to get started!!  I'm blogging about it as I go...not because I think my life is soooo fascinating, that people would want to read about it...but because if there is anyone else out there with the same struggles...it just may help them.  I know from personal experience...reading other blogs has helped me tremendously...and I've gotten some really great ideas and info from them as well!!!

Some of the things at the top of my priority list are...
  • Lose the 30 pounds I've put on over the past 4 years
  • Get Organized
  • Simplify
  • Get on a budget
And so on...

I spend way to much time on the computer...but I suspect that will dwindle away as I put things into action.  I find A LOT or really great stuff on PINTEREST!  I found an awesome way to organize my bills, that I absolutely love!!  Trust me...I've tried everything!!  I found the one that works best for me HERE.  This system uses a binder...and I have come to realize...that I LOVE binder filing!!  Sooooo easy to find things when you want it!!  I have a nice big fancy filing cabinet...that I'm going to put all my photo albums in and anything that I want to keep safe in case of fire.  I no longer need it for filing since I discovered binders!!

My son graduated from high school this year!!  So my life has been consumed with graduating stuff for the past month.  Friday night is his Grad Party...then I'm DONE!!  Well....except for the post I'll have here with pics and stuff.  Once that is behind me...I'm full speed ahead with exercise, organizing and simplifying my life...and building my business (I'll talk more about that later)!!  I am SO looking forward to each and every step of this journey!!

Peace Out for now!

This & That....

Well....it's been "over" a week since I last posted.  I really need to get my butt in gear and get better at this!  I have been on my blog...still playing around with designs and stuff.

Now...if I can just remember what I did for the last week (memory loss gets worse with age).

Let's see....hmmmm.....oh right....I babysat the sweetest, most well behaved little 11 month old on Monday & Thursday.  She's just a little pet!

Chloe LOVED her....

The rest of the week wasn't so productive.  I think I'm in a winter blues rut!  We have so much snow here!!  Today it was above zero and raining...and even though it may cause some minor flooding...at this point, I really don't care.  I just want to get rid of the stinking snow!  I just want to be able to see my deck!!!

So...with this Embracing Change thing...I'm also determined to stay on a healthy eating plan.  I love love love Simply For Life.  When I was in to see Mike (my consultant)  a couple weeks ago...Bruce (the founder of SFL), took me into "Bruce's Kitchen" and showed me how to make a breakfast wrap and a fruit and veggie smoothie.  They were both delicious, and I've been eating/drinking them every day since he showed me...lol.

The Simply For Life Facebook page is awesome!!!  Bruce puts alot of interesting info on there.  One day, he was talking about Silver Hills Sprouted Bakery.  He said to get The Big 16 sprouted bread.

Of course I had to run right out and get it....and boy am I glad I did!  It's delicious!!!  Because it's all natural, it has to be kept frozen...but it is so yummy!!

Another change that I'm making is, getting all my debt paid off!!  Yes...I really am!  I'm going to do this!!  When I was looking at some of the comments on Sara's blog...I noticed alot of people talking about Dave Ramsey's "Total Money Makeover".  So...I went and bought it!   I didn't even realize that Dave Ramsey was a christian, until I started reading the book!!  I'm half way through the book...and I'm so excited to finish and get started on my "Total Money Makeover".

I also bought some daisy's.  I clean for my Aunt...and she was coming home from Arizona, and being faced with all this dreadful snow!  I can't even imagine.  How aweful would that be?!?!  So when I was out cleaning her house, I left some of the daisy's for her, and brought the rest home for me.  After all...I'm the one that's been actually living in all this snow for the past month in a half, while she lived in Arizona....so it goes without saying that I needed a little pick me up too!!

Tomorrow starts a new week!!  New Beginnings!  New opportunities to Embrace Change!!

Giving this "change" thing a try!

Anyone that knows me well...knows that I DO NOT like change!!  "Embracing Change" is a big step for me.  I'm not comfortable with change...but it's inevitable...so I may as well go with it and have some fun.

My life has had alot of changes over the past 2-3 years...some were out of my control...but some I chose.  The biggest change was giving up the one and only job I ever had!  I loved my job, and worked there for 23 years.  But my kids were becoming teens, and I felt the burden to be home more. I left my job to do house cleaning...so I could set my own hours.  I needed to be home when the kids got home from school.  It was the best decision I ever made!!  I loved my old job...but being home when the kids get home from school is waayyyy better!  Along with the house cleaning...I also did some commercial buildings.  I eventually realized that I like that much better!  I gave up most of my residential clients, and am in the process of taking on more commercial cleaning jobs.

So....giving up residential, and taking on commercial...gives me more "day time" hours at home. (We work evenings and weekends).  I loved that idea because I really have alot of organizing and decluttering to do.  However....I don't know quite where to start.  I love Flylady.net.  As I was looking at some of the before and after pictures...I got the idea to start blogging.  I need accountability...and doing this will keep me accountable.  I need to declutter my life.  Home...mind, body and soul.  And this is where I'm going to do it.

I'm going to do my best to blog every day.  So that means that I'll have to do something everyday, so that I can blog about it!!   Maybe there are others out there that are in the same situation as me.  So much to do...but feeling too overwhelmed and don't know where to start.  If this helps someone else...then that's awesome.  At the very least...it will keep me motivated!!
